I ordered something from them when I built my PC or my gf's PC (don't recall which, & I don't recall what I bought... I think it was a HD...). I had no trouble whatsoever, & was very pleased with the purchase & service.

As always, YMMV.

I bought a CPU from them and had no problems. Then again, I dont think I've ever had to return a piece of computer hardware before.

well I bought a 8IRXP from them, If you manually set the voltage the board will not restart and also will not boot after powering down. (you have to unplug the power for 5-10 sec to clear residual power) getting ahold of gigabyte is worthless as they have a way of noniteligable english when responding to answers. I have verified that this is a problem and have finally tried to get ahold of googlegear to return this motherboard. they tell me that due to the fact that its past 30 days (not my fault the tech support dont respond to emails when submitted I had to wait 2-3 weeks for a responce as googlegear doesnt provide the support only the warranty).

they are trying to tell me that they will charge me 15% restocking fee + current price. Thats a crock of BS I payed 210.00 bucks and they want to try and weasel 50+ bucks out of me for a defective product. I am going to reverse the charges as I have done all I can and I am quarantied under the CC against defective and not providing what I paid for. I have also contacted teh AG for the state I reside in and filed a consumer complaint agains tthem.

I am going to be shopping from Newegg from now on, they treat you with respect and If the product is bad refund you what you paid and dont try and steal from you

Products sold by Googlegear are covered under our 15-day money back guarantee, unless otherwise noted. Policies regarding items that are not covered by 15-day money back guarantee are specified on the product's individual page as well as the special exceptions section below.

All returns covered under our 15-day money back guarantee are subject to the following:

A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number issued by Googlegear must accompany all returns.
RMA numbers must be obtained no later than 15-days from the date the product was shipped out to you. After 15-days, all product returns must be handled directly by the manufacturer or warranty provider.
All RMA numbers are valid for 10 days from the date of issuance.
All products must be returned in like-new condition, including original packaging and all documentation and accessories. Charges will be applied for all missing accessories or parts. Googlegear will not accept items that have been physically damaged or misused.
All returns must be shipped freight prepaid.
All related fees (shipping & return shipping fees) are NON-REFUNDABLE for all products in all cases.
Please allow 1-2 weeks for all refunds.
After 15-days of the purchase date, all items that need to be returned for repair will have to be sent directly to the manufacturer or warranty provider. Please see product's individual page for further details on warranty coverage.

What part of this did you not understand when you bought the board? The very board you touted as the best, most stable OCing board out there for a month or so, until people you convinced went out and bought it, and discovered these limitations?

You've had the board over 30 days. Googlegear only accepts returns after 15 days. That they are even willing to accept your return after 30 days (on a board NOT guaranteed by Googlegear to overclock) is pretty damn nice of them.

AmusedOne what part of Stupid Ass are you?

they provide the warranty, the manufactuer (gigabyte) doesnt respond to emails on a timely basis other wise id have dealt with them. but they said to try and contact the manufactuer first. and if you manually set the voltage to 1.5 which is the default setting for a norhtwood the board wont boot no matter what fsb you run it at.

so unless you like sticking your foot up your ass dont post something you dont know about. STFU.

You should ask that question about yourself.
Continue with the verbal assaults and you will find yourself on vacation.

His point is that when you bought from them you knew their policies, and as such, you pay for what you get. A lot of the stores provide the cheapest prices, but in turn they lack support. 15 days is pretty sh!tty but it's not like they didn't disclose that policy ahead of time. Maybe next time you'll pay a bit more for a year warranty through TCWO or CompuCheap.

How difficult would it have been to simply call and ask them instead of waiting 2-3 weeks for an e-mail reply?

Your beef is with the manufacturer, not Googlegear. You can piss, moan, bitch and insult me all day, but you aren't going to change that fact. Googlegear is NOT responsible for GB's crappy service.

I hope Googlegear wins the dispute with MC, as they should. You waited at least 15 days too long, and Googlegear has a contract that YOU agreed to by clicking "buy" when you purchased your mobo.

BTW, Strawberrymom, isn't this the VERY SAME mobo you touted on the boards for over a month as the best, most stable mobo out there??? The only thing I feel sorry for, are poor people who listened to you.

I wish I worked for her cc, I'd deny her claim sooooooooooo quickly and have just as much fun explaining to her why ... customer ignorance.

They told you to get a hold of GB because you were 15 days or more past the date of purchase. The only stupidity here is you waiting past the return period, AND AND AND telling everyone the board was so great for so long.

It never ceases to amaze me how people these days simply cannot admit fault on their part. I see it so often in real life and on message boards and it sickens me. :frown:

I usually don't take pleasure in the misfortune of others, but...BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Every single post of yours I've seen in these forums is either pooh-poohing on someone or wildly filled with rage. This time it looks like Lady Luck gave you the finger. I believe Googlegear is one of the sites AnandTech.com uses as the golden standard in its price guides?
