First off,

Motherboard: Asus P5KC
PSU: Enermax FMA 2 535W

Okay first question: The motherboard's main power is a 24-pin, the PSU comes with a 20-pin + 4pin, but I've tried every way of putting it in, and it doesn't look like it will fit:

Here is the main power on the motherboard:

Here is the PSU connectors:

Okay and the last thing is, I have no idea where to plug the fans that the case (Antec P182) comes with:

Here is the fans:

And here are all the plugs of the PSU i think it may be:

And one final thing, to plug in a DVD-burner, the motherboard didn't come with an IDE cable for it. It has 2, but they are labelled for 'floppy' and 'HDD', i already have a SATA HDD so do I just use the HDD for the DVD-burner?

Thanks!!

The pics aren't great, but you can see the arrows on the plug where the 20pin and 4pin fit together, then you should be able to fit the whole thing in the mobo slot in only one direction, look at the shape of each hole.

Those connectors from the fans of the P182 are molex connectors, they connect directly to the molex connectors on the power supply.

Sweet thanks, got the main power.

But about the fans, there are two sides to the plug, a female side, and male side. If I plug it in from the Molex, I just leave the female side with nothing?,

And from the PSU on one 'strand' there are 3 molex connectors, I already have 1 going into the HDD, is it safe to plug the fans in the other 2, or should I use a different strand?

PS: sorry bout the pics, I took them with my cell phone

The plugs have a male and female end so you can chain them together, and it's fine to connect them to the same cable as the HDD, whatever works best for you with your cable management.

Okay well looks like I'm ready to start her up for the first time, but before I do so, is there any of those "Do this before starting for the first time" that I should be aware of before i blow-up my new computer?

Triple check your connections are all plugged in, and secure.

Good luck, hope to see you back here soon with good news.
