So I want to go to London from 8/6 - 8/21. I found a 1 stop round trip from LAX to London for $850 (with all the taxes and all - why is there a $172 tax btw?). Is that a pretty solid price??

We payed something like $600 a person back in 2002. I'd say that sounds fair. What do you plan on seeing? You know how expensive it'll be, right?

Seems fair. but flying out of LAX...i would think you'd be able to find a solid deal between now and then. Tickets are usually a bit higher when you are booking that far in advance, in my experience. :shrug;

872 doesn't seem that bad to be honest.

It'll seem positively cheap compared to things actually in the city.

I'm using orbitz.

I have lodging in all the cities so I figure I will save a lot of money in that department. I have no clue what I'm seeing. I have a lot of family throughout Europe so I figure I'll leave it up to them!

Don't book through orbitz. Find the best price, and go to that airline's website. Usually you'll save 10-20 bucks.
