Are these guys for real? It smells like BT's fart when they said they owned hyperlinks:

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, California, December 27, 2000 - NetZero, Inc. (Nasdaq: NZRO), a leading provider of Internet access services and targeted marketing solutions, announced today it has filed suit against Juno Online Services, Inc. for infringement of U.S. Patent No. 6,157,946. The patent applies to a process that enables an Internet service provider to display advertisements or messages through a window that is separate from the browser. NetZero, the exclusive licensee of the patent, employs this technology through the ZeroPort?, a persistent, on-screen window that serves as a navigational tool while displaying advertisements and customized messages the entire time a user is online. The lawsuit was filed yesterday in the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles.

...another one destined to bite the dust, me thinks!

If NetZero invented the ad banner and knows so much about that 'technology,' why did their ver. 1.x software crash almost every time when the banner was clicked? At least Juno's ad banner has been reliable from the start and before NetZero got their act together.
