What do you think? Are services like this actually going to compete well with true broadband speeds? I know the service works using compression and caching...is it actually effective, though?

When I was in middle school they were free, and had an ad-banner that could be hacked around. So much for Net"Zero".

Most can't get DSL at $15, let alone a lot don;t even have home phones anymore. That and a lot can't get DSL or even cable internet at all.
So a faster dial up is better then nothing.
