Networking without really networking?

I'm looking for a way to share files between two computers, they are both hooked up to the same router/switch however they are not on the same workgroup. I cannot put them on the same workgroup because to access the network at work I have to be on a domain, and if I change the domain I cannot change it back without going through my administrator for some reason.

What I simply want to do is share files between the two computers easily. So in essence it's not networking I'm looking for but rather just a way to share files from my laptop to my PC without changing their current network settings.

Thanks.

Have you tried connecting to your laptop's administrative share (\\laptop\c$) and copy the files from the folder they are in?

workgroups/domains have nothing to do with filesharing...use UNC paths, as shown above (\\computer\share)
