I know nothing about networking machines, I have a few machines cracking rc5 and I got some nics and a 10 port hub which I will figure out but need to know if I can access all machine's from the controlling one and use all programs from the slave machines. I also want to access the Net from the main machine only. I am connecting on a 56 K ISP.

Do you have a problem with dust buildup with that setup?

Just wondering, sometimes I am amazed when I open up an old machine at how much @#!$ has built up, ever look inside an old Mac's floppy?

cot,

HeHe. You can't see it in the pic, but the rack sits right under the A/C outtake vent. It's sucking air up, and out, so dust buildup is minimal. It does generate a lot of heat, though, and it's right here by my front counter. Should be nice in the Winter.:D BTW, I need to update the pic, it has several more nodes now.

Wintal: I looked at the stuff and looks like what I am looking for, going to have to study it a little to understand it tho. Thank You

Russ: What kind of switch are you using, It is not a KVM switch is it?
One question to you Russ, it looks like you are using a seperate power supply for each motherboard is that right?
Thanks

Bleep,

Yep, KVM switch. Currently four of them; each with 4 ports, plus I/O. They're daisy-chained. Correct, power supply on each node.
