Networking w/computers running NT &WIN98SE

Hi all,
A friend has a network at home with 3 computers connected thru a Linksys Cable/DSL router. The router is connected to a cable modem and all computers can access the internet with no problems. The 2 WIN98 computers have their own printers connected to either the parallel or USB ports and the printers are set to share. The WIN98 computers can access each other very fast, but when the NT(NT4 SP5) machine tries to access the other WIN98 machines for either for the printer or shared drives it takes up to a minute to connect.
Is their a way to speed this up?
TIA

if you can, hook the printers to the NT machines, and let the 98 machines access them through the network.
that *MIGHT* do it.... no guarentees.

Take the WIN98 Boxes down.Reboot your NT box.Bring the 98`s up.It may be a master browser issue (its seems to be netbios related) anyway create a local LMHOSTS file for each box. They still will broadcast, as up until now thats MS networking, then look for the static entries.
