networking via DSL

I have a newbie question. How do I network two lans over a DSL? Both sites have DSL using PPPOET and VPN. I want to link the two lans using their respective DSL lines. Is this possible? Can it be done using dynamic IP's vs. Static IP's? Currently, I'm using a dedicated CPU for internet sharing in each site. Thanks

VPN, where does the VPN come into this?

the only real way you could connect the 2 LAN's is by creating a VPN (like from your server on one side to the server on the other side)
It would not require static ip's however it would make things much easier. you probably should also make sure that both the servers have public ip's, if your ISP is running a PPP connection the public address could be either on your computer or on your modem/router (whatever you use to connect)

We use bellatlantic for the DSL and in order for their connection to work, it requires VPN already installed in the computer. Hence, VPN is already running to get into BA's network. How can I connect the two lans using VPN? Is there another option?
Thanks
Ben

you could think about terminal services, but I've never done that before so....
I guess in theory if your DSL provider (the line provider, not the ISP) would bridge the 2 DSL circuits you could network that way, however, I dont know of any DSL companies that will do that (I work for one of them, and we wont!)

or put another server on each network, a seperate vpn server for your local vpn, it would require another server on each network, but that might work
