I nkow this should be easy but I am having problems so I have to ask. I had my wife's pc and mine networked a while back. one thing led to another and I formatted my pc and just fogot to set them back up. Well, a few weeks back her pc started flaking out (excel deleted itself, couldn't connect digital camera to it anymore, etc.). SO I tried to network them to back up her important stuff. Could never get it to work. I figured it was because XP was getting flaky. So i formatetd and reinstalled XP. Well, windows is fine after the fresh install but I still can't get it to work. I keep getting the Not accessible or not sufficient provledges error.
Does anyone have a guide or some clear steps on how exactly to do this. I must be missing somehting simple but I am getting frustrated.
And I know I can search google but was hoping someone here has an easy 1,2,3, etc method I can go through.

thanks

Thanks for the link. I'll look into it over the weekend. One thing I noticed is they say to enable simple file sharing. I know it may sound strange but I thought I've always heard to disable it. I've never had it enabled before????

Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings, http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is allowed to be shared.
