Networking through the phone line

I remember that linksys used to make ethernet cards for this, where the nic card would have both the modem and rj port - Anyone know the sku or product number for it?

It's similar ot this product

compugeeks has one

but I wasn't sure about the Asante product name ...

Anyone tried it out before ... is it safe to buy it?

Phone Line network is fading out, so not too many of us have current knowledge about it.

FYI: I purchased a Linksys 1mb phoneline network kit at a local BestBuy about 2 years ago. The model number was: HPN100. I hope that helps some, you should be able to find more information on that product at HPN100 Product Support Page. Good luck!
