I'm planning to begin the sales of networking racks for the IT companies in Toronto. I will be getting the racks manufactured from Bayview Metals. I would like to know what are the factors to be considered while purchasing a networking rack? Any ideas

the other i bought off ebay didn't and the startech 42 i bought didn't.

for mounting rails and shelves its kind of a PITA to not have holes on the inside of the uprights.

this is the 42u i bought

Except the design in your picture will interfere with most CMA's which is probably why they don't normally design them that way.

For an IT company, it is important to have enough spacing to mount a Dell or Lenovo server. The racks we use are about 29.5 inches or about 75cm from the front cage nut holes to the back ones.

If you are offering enclosed racks, be sure to allow 6-8 inches or 15-20cm behind the rear cage nuts for cable management arms and such. Enclosed racks should have at least one side with zero U space in back for vertical power distribution.
