I have just purchased 2 linksys Phoneline USB adapter and i have to say, it works real good and take less than 5 mins and just one reboot to have sygate and the adapter installed. However, I can't access the client computer's harddrive but the client computer can access my server's HD. I have TCP/IP, Client for MS networks, File and printer sharing for MS checked in the Linksys Phoneline 10M USB network adapter. and i set up the share premission to everyone, full control in both computer.
My server computer is running NTFS and the client computer is runnin the Fat 32 because of once awhile i need to work with the windows9X. Can anyone give me some hints of how to do it?

Are both computers running W2K Pro? You refer to one as the client, one as the server...so I have to ask. Assuming that you do not have a PDC the process which successfully got things to work one way for you should work when configuring the machines for reverse roles. The FAT32 machine needs to have file sharing up and running and have 1 user account which corresponds to the NTFS machine's default login.

Also clarify what error(s) you are getting

I would also install the MS IPXSPX compatible protocol as well. It will enable you to see net bios names in a work group.

yup, both machines are running w2k pro and i can actually see the client machine from the server. However, whenever I try to access the client machine from the server, it would prompt me for Incorrect password or unknown username for: \\machinename
connect as :
Password:
but the strange thing is , I don't have any password on both machine, not even login.
by the way, I can see the computer name in "Computers Near Me"

Thanks alot.

Yes you do have usernames and passwords. Win2000 asked you for them during install.

start -> control Panel -> Users and Passwords

Hit the checkbox and then you can change names and passwords, what you logon with on the NTFS box must be a valid account on the FAT32 box

If you are just being prompted for a pasword, try enabling the GUEST account and setting a password for that account. Now enter the same password at the password prompt when you try to access the client system from the server. This should work.
