Networking Question - Cable modem, win2k pro, win2k server

I have two computers, one with windows 2000 pro and one with windows 2000 server, comcast cable internet, and a linksys switch.

I have a test domain set up on the win2k server and i connect to it with the win2k pro machine. My problem is i cannot connect to the server and connect to the internet at the same time. if i start up with the server and pro boxes connected to the switch and the cable modem connected to the uplink, i can only connect to the server (file sharing, etc...). I get no internet access. But when i disconnect the server from the switch and restart, the internet works fine.

Any ideas on how i can get both to work at the same time?

Thank You.
