I have a Belkin Wirless Network. I have a wirelss adaptor, a router and a notebook card. Everything is from Belkin. It worked at one point then it just stopped. If someone could tell me the basic things to look for to solve the problem and some things about networking to help me. I have Windows XP Professional on my computer that the router is connected to, and XP home edition on the other desktop and on my labtop. I am just trying to get on the internet from anywhere in the house and play LAN games with out having to physically connecting the labtop to the router. I went to the network wizard and I have the same group name for the network and I have them all set up going throught the hub option.

Somebody answered but I am not sure except of service pack 2 of what the mean.

Are you using belkin software for your wireless settings or xp's? Do you have service pack 2 installed (or did you recently upgrade to it for that matter)? Can your laptop see the wireless connection, the SSID name of your wireless connection? Right click on your wireless in your desktop to view available connections. Did you have the network locked down with 64 or 128 encryption?

I did install it using the cd that came with the hardwire but I am not sure if that means I am using Belkin software, and if I am not how do I? I don't know what SSID means? When I right click on my desktop I can not see and connections, I mean I go to Home netoworks and I don't see any connections on my desktop and then I go to workgroup computers and I still don't see any connections but I can ran LAN games on all my computers plus get on the internet but not on my labtop. I also don't know how to lock down encryptions, so I definitely don't know how to pick one. Could somebody please help?

labtop - >laptop.

Sounds like you need to find someone to come over and help you out... you don't know seem to enough of the basics about networking - so its hard to try to help you diagnose the problem.

Good luck.
