Hi all, I'm having a wierd problem. I'm trying to network my desktop and new Dell laptop, both running WinXP (Pro on desktop, Home on laptop). I am using a SMC Barraicade router, and the DSL modem is also plugged into router. Both computers have no problem getting on the Internet, and both are just set to "auto" for IP configurations (I have a static IP, set in the router). On my desktop, I can see the laptop, but when I click on it I just get the hourglass and then a message saying it is not accesible. On the laptop, I don't even see the desktop. I am logged in as admin on both. What am I doing wrong??? Thanks for your help!!!!

Do you have anything shared on both machines? If there's nothing shared, it won't show up in Network Neighborhood.
