i can't seem to figure this out...

i have a network set up so that we share the DSL line but i want to set it up so that my printer can be used without having to always go "can you turn on your computer and print this for me?" *hands disk*

i have win2k and an epson printer. router is by netgear (although i know that doesn't matter..)

See if your specific model of printer is supported in a printserver. That will make the printer an always on, always accessible network device.
You can either get a router with built in printserver, or get a standalone printserver.

A long as the printer is connected to a machine that will be on when you need to print, you could share the printer in windows. Otherwise go with a dedicated printserver.
