networking printer...and other stuffs

Well, I went out and bought a new printer and put it on my machine. I want to be able to share it with my brother, but he cant seem to see it on my computer. I am running win2k and he is running 98se. I gave him an admin account and he cant log on over the network. Is the NTFS screwing this up?

Also, is it possibsl for me to set up a network across the net when I leave for college? If so, how?

You can set up a remote link. You don't say much about your configuration, like do you use a router, or ICS, or whatever. Anyway, one way to do this is to use VNC.

On my home system, I have my router open up for SSH, which I forward to my Linux box. I then use SSH's port forwarding for 5904 on my work machine to 5932 on my home Linux box, and I run vncserver on my home linux box on display :32. Then on my work box I can connect my vnc client to localhost:4, and walla, I have a vnc session at home. From that vnc session, I can run xvncviewer to any of my other windows boxes. Kind of cumbersome, but I like the security it seems to give me, and by having my Linux box as my main connecting point, I have just a couple fewer security issues to concern myself with.

Just my $0.02 worth.

Oh yeah, if I remember correctly, Microsoft supports Internet printing out of the box, if you want to enable it. I know nothing about it, but its available.
