NEtworking newbie here :) Help!

I just got this laptop and I have all the cables ..ECt.... I just dont know how to set the settings? TCP and such? Can some one gimme some how to links I really am clue less here

share files But It look like I might need the drivers for the PCMCIA card. it had a Yellow Question mark next to it in the device manager. I need a cdrom for it just to get the drivers in the laptop. Unless theres another way?

Download them on another machine, then copy them to a floppy.

I have no floppy on it I am looking on E gay for a cd rom now. there pricey though.

Well you could try serial connect. PLIP I think it is. I know Windows supports it, though you need to have the cab files available to get it installed.

thanks Damaged for trying, I find it easier to just buy a cdrom for the laptop. Then I will be back to trying to network them both, Besides the laptop need a fresh install or win 98.
