Networking Linux to Xp...

How can I network linux to xp pro? I've got a laptop running 9.1 redhat distro and wp pro sp1 on my desktop with a dual boot into linux. I've heard I have to use samba but haven't gotten past that point. both systems are linked and the hub shows them active, but they can't see each other and I can't figure out how to share my internet connection. Any help?

samba is only for file sharing. between nix and windows boxes, its cant be used for internet sharing. You should be able to find plenty of documentation on how to setup file sharing using samba on google.

as for internet connection sharing, you'll either:
1. get another IP address from your ISP
2. buy a router
3. use ICS on windows
4. setup ipmasq on nix
