Networking Help Needed

I recently got cable modem and I am trying to configure my laptop with Windows 2000 so that I can use it while I'm at home. I use the same laptop for work and the network settings are different, so I have to change the settings for work and for home. I try to add another LAN connection, so that I have one for home and one for work. That way, I can just disable one or the other depending on where I am without having to change the settings manually, but Windows 2000 does not allow me to create another LAN connection. Can anyone help?

Thanks

It won't let you make a new connection? Are you logging in under an administrator account? if not u'll need to do that before you can create a new connection.

Yes, I am log on as Admin. I currently have a LAN setup. When I try to make a new connection, It takes me through the Internet Connection Wizard. After that is completed, a new connection is not created. I still have the original LAN connection
