Networking Help, getting my cell phone and wireless router working together.

I live out in the boonies and only access the net through my cell phone (Moto Droid). I normally hook the Cell phone up to my computer via USB and it works fine, but I want to be able to hook it up to my Wireless router (d-link dir 655) so that I can have all of my devices (pc, laptop, printer, kindle fire) on the network together and working. Whats the best way to hook everything up? I like the idea of being able to hook the phone up to the computer via usb and that spreading the internet, because if I set the phone up as a wireless hotspot to a laptop, then it is on a different network than my printer and I cant print. Ideas ?

Probably the easiest way to go that I can think of is to load either Tomato or DD-WRT onto your router. Then set the router up as a bridge and have it bridge the connection from your cell phone to the router.

I found both the things you mentioned, and the dd-wrt it says wont work on my router and the tomato doesnt mention mine specifically.

Well if you want to work with the equipment that you have and not get a router that DD-WRT or Tomato can use (surprised that the DIR-655 simply won't be supported by DD-WRT because it's not technically possible) then the only other solution I can come up with will still require an extra network card to be purchased for your PC. You'll hook up your droid to your PC via USB as you have been doing previously and then have one network card setup as a WAN interface and the other as a LAN interface while setting up the droid to be shared via ICS. You'll then have one network cable going to the WAN port on the router from the WAN NIC on the PC and the other will stay as it is. I'm not sure how well or even 100% sure that it will work under Windows 7 but I believe it should work. Frankly I would recommend getting a DD-WRT compatible router, flashing it and then setting it up in bridging mode.
