I'm looking at learning more about networking and i was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of some websites that have valuable information for beginers that i could sift through, without having to go and buy expensive books etc

It's the actually Cisco certification stuff there. I don't think you can take the course directly though. You'll need an instructor.
