Networking/DSL problem

I'm helping a guy from work get his new DSL connection up and running, and it seems like every time I leave the guy's house, everything stops working. The problem I'm currently having is this - he has two computers connected to his wireless router. One is a laptop (XP Pro) connecting wirelessly, and one is a desktop PC (XP Home) connected with a regular ethernet cable. The laptop can access any site on the Internet, no problem. The desktop PC can only access our company's "internal" website, nothing else. The only logical conclusion I could come to for this behaviour is that it can access our website because I enter the IP address directly, other sites I enter the domain name. I couldn't confirm this because I didn't think of it until after I left his house. Anyone have any idea how to fix that?

Yeah I figured something to that effect, but that would be a problem on Verizon's end, so why would it only affect one computer?

you can put the DNS servers for your own computers yourself. maybe you set static IPs on both and are using completely different sets. set the desktops DNS servers to 4.2.2.1 & 4.2.2.2 and see if that fixes it.
