networking 2 two computers thru lan

hi all
i have two windows xp home edition systems , connceted them to as lan , gave ip address 192.168.0.1 n subnet 255.255.255.0 for main system and 192.168.0.2 and subnet 255.255.255.0 for the other sytem .

now the problem is that other system with ip 192.168.0.2 can see main system and acees fiels from main sytem , but the main sytems can't see the other system ,
i pinged frm both ends its working fine , wat shal i have to see files frm the main system , i there anything i have missed to add in main sytem ?
plz solve my problem

You need to use the same workgroup name on both computers.

You also need to disable any firewall.

The following clinets must be installed in Networking on both computers: "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" and "Client for Microsoft Networks".

In rare instances Windows may still not "see" the other computers on the network in "My Network Places". You should still be able to browse the other computer by typing the path to it in an Explorer Window or the Run prompt.

Click Start, clink Run, type the other computer's network name preceded by two reverse back slashes. For example:

\\COMPUTER1

are you running through a hub router or what I just have mine running through a hub and no ip config was even necessary I use to have that happen with win 98 once in a while though where one would not see other and changing workgroup nme on both computers sometimes straightened it out
