I've recently networked to computers, an NIC in each joined by UTP cabling. Both have their own set of speakers and winamp is installed, is there a way I can play to both simultaneously? How woul I do it in Linux?

You could run a streaming aduio feed out of one. I think you can still listen to the outgoing music on the server.

Thanks, but how do I do that? I hope my questions isn't to lame but I'm a newbie at networking. Can I use streaming audio in a peer-to-peer situation?

I'll have to admit that's a little beyond what I have setup at my house. I was hoping someone else would chime in with a suggestion. Hint, hint, Wink, wink, Nudge, nudge.
The one thing I've set up in the past is using a plug in for winamp to remotely control winamp on another computer. I haven't used it since I shuffles around the computers and can't quite reach the stereo like I used to.

Thanks HEAPS cavingjan for all your help. Though, I agree, I had hoped for a bit more help. Maybe they're not listening to the Hi-Quality music I'm listening to :D
I'll keep you informed of my (fingers crossed) solution.

You're welcome. You can probably try this over in OffTopic and get some more responses.
