Network Wifi monitoring tools?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can advise how I can monitor/manage/troubleshoot our Wifi at our company. What hardware/software to use etc.

Lately we've been having intermittent Wifi issues with our APs, I'm usually connected through network cable so never experienced these issues but a lot had been complaining regarding disconnection from video conferencing while on wifi and not able to connect to wifi etc.

We recently bought two new Cisco AP with central management controller, but it doesn't really tell me much. It just shows me how many people are connected to each APs, etc.

I used this software called Network Uptime Monitor, I had to install it on one troubled machine. I got few wifi dropouts just to confirm. Anyone can give me advices on other tools to use?

Well, I suppose you could install one of the many WiFi utilities on a android device (maybe apple as well, but, haven't used any) and start walking around looking for signal issues & interference. It is also best to track where the people are when they lose connection, and perhaps what time of day, since random office equipment may be causing sporadic interference.
If that comes back all good, then, I would take another look at the APs. What specific model are they?
