Network video card -- does this exist?

We currently have a 4matrix display on 40" NEC LCDs that is being run through a PC via DVI.

It runs a power point, and I was curious if there is a peice of hardware that does this exact same thing, but NOT a whole computer...like a tiny network affiliated video card that can pull from a server hosting the power point?

Also, we have a similar setup but on one 40" NEC (we have two of these setups) and they also have PCs displaying a website (or current events, like if you were at a gym, or community center you see current events scrolling and you can update it via whatever you want)....is there also a specific card that can do this too?

I would love to have them running through our network and use these PCs for people that could use them!!

Links and any information appreciated :)

You mean Powerpoint? A 'power point' is the thing in the wall you get your electricity from... took me a minute to work that out :D

NOT a whole computer

In short - no there isn't. A machine that runs Powerpoint and displays the output is a computer, as Powerpoint requires a computer to run. You could do it on a very simple and stripped-down computer though, like a thin client of some kind, but it would have to have the capability to run the big monitors.

Another option might be to run a long co-ax cable from an existing machine to the monitors, thereby eliminating the display machine, but there might be other problems with that.

well, I want to try to get everything over the network with something smaller.

It is a waste of a PC to just be running a Power Point presentation 24/7....and its very accessible by everyone, its the dang coat closet! Thats why I want something tiny and something we can modify by just changing the .ppt on our server.

let me ask this...is it possible to get 4 NEC monitors to matrix with a DLINK DSM520 or a NETGEAR EVA700 ??

more specifically , the NETGEAR EVA700 looks promising.

would this work with just one even? basically pulling a HTML website? Can it do that?

Or would this work with the 4 matrix display?

currently we have 4 NEC Multisync LCD4010-BK-IT 40" LCDs and 2 more (which run the schedule).

not sure about that monitor, but there are some projectors (we have an Epson that works this way) that can connect to the network and you can install S/W to send stuff to the projector, so you can do your presentation without having to plug into it (works great when you need the power of your desktop for something)

link to this product?
What sort of hooksups can I use? VGA/DVI? Think it will display a 4 matrix display?
