I have searched this, now more confused. Up to date win10pro, and a new nas device. It's asking for network credentials, and to my knowledge I've never set any. I have 4 computers on my little home network, and I can access them all without any credentials. And I have up to date security software on all of them, as well as a strong router password, so I'm not overly concerned about security. I've disabled password requirement in network settings. Do I need to change them all to a private network? I've visited Credential Manager, don't understand what I'm seeing there. So tell me how it is I can't get into my new nas to dump a few pictures into it! TIA zz03

They should all be private but, the NAS typically comes configured with a default credentials. Check the box it came in on the sticker or the manual.
