Network user access in Win2K

Is it possible to set up my Win2K to get a list of the users from a domain server who can access shared resources on my computer? For example, like the "User-Level Access" option in Win98/ME..

I don't think that is possible. If I remember correctly, there is no way of "copy and pasting" permissions.

so if I want to share to 200 people I would have to manually set up 200 names in "User & Password"?? gawd....

and your "copying and pasting" was referring to the user-level access option?

You can't "copy and paste" from one computer to another or getting a list off another computer. You can though setup a template for the permissions. All you would have to do is enter the username and password to create an account. If the accounts are already been made, you could of course just setup a group and add all the users into it.

If this were a server-based network instead of client-based/peer-to-peer, then you could use the master list off the server.

Our network is indeed server-based; each user has to logon to a central domain in order to use the resources on the network. Do you mean I can get a list off the server by going to the Security tab in the folder I'm sharing, and choose Add, and then go to Look in: and choose the domain server? What happens if that server is not listed in the pull-down menu?
