Network traffic causes doorbell to ring???

Hi, I just hooked up my new computer to my old computer and now, every once in a while, the doorbell is ringing with nobody pressing it. From my observations, it only happens when I am copying files.

The doorbell is a little radio emitter which sends a beam to a reciever plugged into a wall socket. I have a network cable running on the floor on the other side of the wall maybe 50cm away from the doorbell reciever.

I also have a fat load of power cords and I was wondering if They might be causing the problem. Any suggestions?
