Ok, I've got a linux server set up right now. Abit KT7-R, 384mb ram, duron (700@800) and a linksys 10/100 nic.

Ok, I did some investigating and found out that somehow, some way, one of the folders on the server (a very large folder, with a lot of files) had been set up as an offline folder on my main rig. It was synchronizing, copying, and basicaly screwing the network traffic all around.

I'm currently using it for file storage and personal web hosting. But I've noticed that since I linked a few pics on a forum from my server, my network traffic is WAAAY lagging.
Not just my internet traffic, but my LOCAL network is seriously sucking now. I have three systems, two running W2K and the other as stated is a linux box. All computers have 10/100 nics running at full (100). I've since removed the pics that were being hosted, and blocked all incoming ports (through the router) but it's still not working the same; I have a ten to fifteen second wait to browse any folders on the server. My internet connection is still zipping along.
I've got a host that I can use, but I'd prefer not to hog all his bandwidth. Would it be better to add a second nic to the server and use one for Intranet, one for Internet? Or is there another way around this?
Any idea's on what is causing this local traffic stop?
