network situation: help!

Okay, here's the deal. There is one computer which has the modem fed into it. It has ICS enabled. All the other computers work just fine through this. Anyway ... we ran some network cable down to another comp. Then we connected a crossover cable from that comp to another one. The one on the end has no access. How do I get this to work? Shouldn't it work? We got the end comp to detect the gateway (the system sharing the internet), but it didn't work.

iirc, the one on the very end - the one sharing the internet access to the one with only a crossover cable - that one should have ICS enabled and installed as well, because it is actually sharing the internet access. I don't think a computer with a crossover cable can just leech off of it without ICS being enabled
