Network Sharing of File

ollags

Junior Member
Installed a lan card and router for DSL.

I am trying to network two computer. I marked the file I want to share.

When I click in Network Neighborhood on the other computer icon, I received the following error

\\computername is not accessible

The computer or sharename could not be found. Make sure you typed it correctly and try again.

The names of the computers are the names that appear in the network function in the control panel.

HELP!!

OOPS OS is Windows 98

?Computers not seeing one the other?, is usually a result of faulty sharing setting.

If you have Software Firewall on any of the computers, disable it and look carefully over the Network?s share settings.
