I'm currently working on a possibly complicated project. I have two buildings, one with a router that broadcasts a working signal in which I can connect to and use the internet. The second building is approx. 100ft away and has no physical connection to the main building. The second building is where I need a wireless internet signal. The second building has thick brick walls and is wired with Cat 5e cable. I was wondering if I could set up a repeater off the main signal in the primary building, connect a switch to the wireless repeater, then connect the existing wiring in the secondary building, and then connect WAP's on each of the 3 floors. Basically, Router to WiFi range extender to network switch to wireless access point. Would this be possible? In my mind this is the best solution as the WAP's would act as one unified network wheres putting a range extender on each floor would be many different networks, unreliable and much slower than WAP's.
