Hey,

I can't start the Network Setup Wizard in XP Pro. I tried all sorts of links to it such as Right clicking My Network Places, clicking the "Set home or Small Office Network". I get no errors. Nothing happens. I tried typing "netsetup.exe" in Run, but that failed to start it also. Instead, a message popped up saying that if I had XP, it would start automatically, otherwise it would have to install and restart. I click ok and nothing happens. It doesn't even pop up the box where I can begin to set up the network.
I tried running the wizard with the Windows CD but get the same problem.

I reinstalled the drivers for my network card, but that didn't help.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Boot into safe mode with networking, login as administrator, try running it then.

Well just for reference here is how I resolved this issue. I decided to install SP2, and guess what? It solved this problem for me. The Network Setup Wizard is now functional. I know there has been a lot of fuss about SP2 breaking machines, but in this case it fixed a problem. :)
