Currently, my dad's apt has an older netgear b/g router in the back bedroom, which is attached to my bro's iMac.
They've just set up a panny hts in living room (about 35 feet away) with a panny b/g/n wireless adapter, for streaming netflix and Amazon. The signal is only 2 bars, so here's what I was thinking:
Either:
1. Replace the old router with a new g/n (d-link 655 or netgear 3500l) and see if that helps (but I imagine it won't)
Or 2. Get a new g/n router, place it in the living room, attach the hts to the router via ethernet, and use the old b/g as an AP, still attached to the iMac. Which means we wouldn't need the panny adapter....
Any thoughts?
Thx!
