Hi Everyone,

Is it possible to create a network of 10 clients using an 8 port router and 5 port switch without any internet connection? I know a workgroup is possible, however I'd like to include active directory to this network setup.

Any information that you can provide me with would be great.

8 port router and a 5 port switch
1 port on the router is use to connect to 1 of the switch port. That leaves you only 11 ports with 1 port if you connect it to the internet or uplink to a cable or dsl router. With 10 clients, it is possible if you have no servers, otherwise, you might need more ports.
