Right now I have my server cluster configured as such:

Domain Controller 1: (AD, DNS)
Domain Controller 2: (AD, DNS, McAfee AV)
Database Server: (WSUS, SQL Server 2008, Vulnerability Scanner, BelManage)
Exchange Server: (Exchange, 2x Hyper-V Instances of Server 2003)
File Server: (File Services (RAID Array Connectivity), Symantec BackupExec)

The top 3 servers are running Server 2008 Standard x32 and have 4GB of RAM.
The bottom 2 servers are running Server 2008 Enterprise x64 and have 8GB of RAM.

The network I am supporting consist of about 30 client machines running Vista/7.

At present I have my build images for all clients on CD's. I would like to install and configure Windows Deployment Services so that I can deploy everything over PXE Network boot when I want to reimage clients.

I feel like my configuration is cluttered and that the File Server and Database Server take the brunt of the work. Unfortunately, it seems to me that the File Server would be the best place to house WDS.

Could someone critique my configuration and advise me on the best practices for WDS?

Thanks,
-GP
