Network Scanning software

Ok, here's my situation, I just inherited administration of a small company network. I'm looking to find some type of software that could scan all the computers on the network and basically tell me what network shares they have mapped and also what printers are installed and the port configuration for the installed printer to see if it's mapped directly to the printer or going thru another workstation (all printers have builtin print servers). If anyone (such as spidey) knows of any software to do this, I'd really appreciate it.

If the small network is really small that might work, otherwise it is a Spidey affair..

Download this free util. http://www.softperfect.com/download/netscan.exe

It is one Exe file notching to install. Put it on your hard drive and drag a link to a spot of you choice.

Run the proggie. In few seconds it will show you all the computers on the network, MAC addresses, pings, and which ports are opened.

Make sure that if you have Software Firewall that all the computers are on the Trusted Zone.
