The more expensive Epsons do have LAN options. Although, I think it is done by software, not a separate 10 Base T.

The only network capable color scanners I've seen are usually attached to very expensive color copiers. :(

Yesterday I bought a new $99 Umax Astra and to my surprise when I'm installing in Custom mode its software i come upon Network Access option and in the description it tells that it will share the scanner on a network. I never expected it but it comes with Network support. You need NetBios or Netbeui and accroding to a KB article in Umax's site you need to have a client-server network noot a pee-to-peer. I haven't been able to use it beacuse I run Win2k and the manager doesn't detect Netbeui although it is installed.

I will let ya'll know how it goes when I get this one. We have a Novell network, but I hope this will be able to do peer to peer.
