Network question

Ok forgive me but im a little weak on info when it comes to networking. My pc has 1 ethernet port. I have my dsl modem attached to a 10/100 router. I want to be able to stream blu ray movies to my ps3. regular movies work fine however the blu ray movies have problems when i try to fast forward or go to a certain point in the movie. i connected thee ethernet cable to my pc ethernet prot which is 10/100/1000 and it works great. Can i add a pci 10/100/1000 card and attach the ps3 to that and have that stream and access the internet or do i have to switch to a gigabyte dsl router?
Basically can i add a pci 10/100/1000 card to my pc and as long as my other ethernet port is attached to the internet the add on card will be able to access the internet as well?

It's a little unclear exactly what you're doing. Are the movies coming from outside your network, i.e. the actual Internet? Or are you streaming movies from the PC to the PS3? You could dual home the PC so that it has an adapter that is on a private subnet with the PS3, and that wouldn't be too complicated, but you keep mentioning the Internet and so I am not sure what connectivity you really need. It's very unlikely that you need a second adapter in the PC to accomplish your goals... whatever they are.

Sorry for being unclear. Everything is in one room wired. If i connect my ethernet cable from my pc to my ps3 my blu ray rips play fine. When I have my ps3 connected to my router and try to fast forward or go to a certain point in the movie say 30 minutes ahead thats when it lags or get pauses. I wanted to know if i put another pci gigabyte card in my pc so that

1st port has my router/ dsl modem

2nd port will go from my pc(add on card) to ps3

will my ps3 be able to access the internet from add on card since the 1st port is connected to internet via router or should i just get a router that is 10/100/1000

You could attach a gigabit switch to one of the ports on your router and then connect the PC and PS3 to the switch. Might help.
