i have a win2kserver box doing nat and dchp to all my internal machines and ofcourse i can connect to anything on the outside. my question is:

is there anyway for the outside to connect to my internal box?? lets say i host a game of UT on my internalbox (192.169.0.100) and want somebody from the outside to join it. IS THAT POSSIBLE??

what program would be able to do that?? would it have something to do with ip forwarding?

thanx alot

Heh, well I know the routers from Ugate have something called "demilitarized zones" where any PC connected can have the outside leased IP from a shared connection given to it. I wonder if it can handle multiple IPs (I can lease all the IPs I want from my cable co, I guess they're configured incorrectly). I have seen cable companies that firewall/proxy ALL users & then charge for a VPN account to get a real outside IP address. So if your system can lease an IP for itself maybe there is a way to "pass it along" to the PC that needs it using a VPN server (God I wish I knew how to set one up so I could actually DO something from work!) :)
