Here's one that doesn't make sense:
There are 4 computers on my network. For clarification sake we'll call them Server, computer A, computer B and computer C:
Server- Windows 2000, satellite internet runs throught this computer, printer connected to this computer
Computer A- Sony Laptop running WIndows 2000
Computer B- Windows 98
Computer C- Windows ME
All computers are in the same workgroup
For some reason, computers A, B, & C cannot see the other three in network neighborhood and also cannot print from the printer on the server. The server can see everyone, access files on everyone and, of course, print fine. I am able to map the 2 partitions on the server on each of the computers so that everyone can access the servers files. The internet is shared, without problem, on all four computers.
Now if computers A, B, & C can see the files from the server when I map them, why can't they see anyone on network neighborhood install the server printer? I can't figure it out for the life of me.
