Network printer problem...

I've got a new HP 5550n that I am trying to hook up for some of the people I support. I've assigned the printer a static IP and have everything set up on our print server. I can browse the directory on my computer, add the printer, and print fine. But on some computers, mainly the important ones that actually need to print to this printer, when I browse the directory and then add the printer everything seems to work. But if I go to properties and try to print a test page it brings up and error that says "The driver for HP.... is not installed" and the same goes for trying to print anything from any program. It gives me the option if installing the drivers, so I try to install them from the network share, but it still gives me the same error. I've tried removing the driver from their computers as an admin and re-adding the printer to pull the drivers back down from the server, but with no luck. We must have 100 printers on our print server and this is the first time I've ever run into this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You said the important computers are mostly the ones having problems.

Are they in a different security zone, or have different rights/privileges?

The computers in question are on a different subnet, but that doesn't make any difference here with the way that we have our print server set up. All the people using these computers have "User Rights" and some of them can print, but some of them get that error.

You do have the correct drivers for them to pull down correct?

I haven't run into this problem before.
