Network Print Server - redirect ports?

We have a small 3 port print server. It's on our peer to peer win98 style network. One of the machines on the print server is an HP multifunction fax. Although the windows print and fax drivers were set to the network printer port and work fine, the managing software for the fax is set to LPT1 without any way to edit it. Is there a way to set it in windows so that all lpt1 traffic is redirected to the network print port - in effect fooling the fax software into thinking it's talking to the fax machine like it wants?
