I play games on medal of honor, but recently my ping jumps considerably like up to 1000 every once in a while. I have a cable internet connection. I dont know why it would have such a problem. Tried restoring it back a couple of days and that didnt seem to work. Anyone have a fix. i dont think its spybots or viruses. Checked all my processes. Have Spybot search and destroy and now ADAWARE. Please help im really laggy.

May help to know a little more about your system. OS, router, on board NIC or add-on? etc.

I've had a few things to this to me over the years of playing on-line. I've had a Linksys router go bad on me and I've also had a Linksys PCL NIC card go bad as well too. Hmmm I'm starting to see a pattern here. lol

I know when I am sending files to somebody and my upload is maxed, the pings on my webserver are over 1000. Cable definitely can't handle a maxed upload connection. Even web pages slow to a claw since it takes a full second to actually get a response back from dns servers.

i guess it is just a problem with comcast.
my specs
Asus A8V deluxe socket 939 mobo
onboard lan
3com router

cable connection currently running at
Download Speed: 1443 kbps (180.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 347 kbps (43.4 KB/sec transfer rate

this morning
Download Speed: 4239 kbps (529.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
> Upload Speed: 349 kbps (43.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

2 days ago i didnt have this problem.

If it's cable internet, your node is overloaded, or they are doing some major work.
