Anyone have any experience using this type of device? I am a heavy gamer and regulary experience lag, I am wondeering if anyone has ever used this and if it helps at all?

It would only help if you are running multiple appications on your connection at the same time. If you are the only one gaming at a particular time and you have no other applications running it is not going to help you at all.
