I am using a KG7 RAID Motherboard, 2 IBM Deskstar 40 GB HDD, Visiontek GeForce2 64 MB MX 200, Creative Lab Soundblaster 5.1 MP3, USR Modem, Advansys SCSI, & Linksys NIC. I did a format and fresh install of Win98SE. I am using a Linksys 4 Port Router with three computers networked and sharing Cable internet access. All three computers now are able to share internet access.
My problem: I can no longer see the network or access other computers from the KG7 mobo computer I just built. I tried changing the NIC card to two othe PCI slots. No help. On every PCI slot the NIC shares an IRQ. IRQ 9 is free but I am not able to force the NIC there via the device manager. Is there a way to force the NIC to IRQ 9 in the BIOS? Any ideas as how to see the network from the KG7 computer?
Thanks

Hi,
First of all , before you can see any computers in any network you need to make this NIC card work . When you will make NIC card functional you need to have a valid IP address on your network in order to communicate which you get from the DHCP server if you have one running on your router.

What is the other device that is using your NIC card's IRQ ? Try to change it's IRQ to different one .
