Network Neighborhood and Windows 98

I'm wondering if there's a way to automatically log on to the Network Neighborhood when starting a computer under Windows 98 (rather than typing in a password or just hitting cancel). I know you can have a "default user" log on automatically with Windows 2000, but is there something like this for 98? Thanks in advance for your help...

Yep, there is. A godsend too. Find the TweakUI utility/control panel (I'm sure someone here can provide instructions, I forgot the exact details) and one of the tabs along the top will say 'network'. There will be a check-box for automatically logging in at startup, click it on and enter in your user name/password, hit OK, and you're set.

Do u want to log into Network neighbourhood or just start using ur PC.
If u are on a network an u want to log in then TWEAK UI will solve it for u !
But just for a PC- U just uninstall Client for Microsoft.. from ur Netwotk Adapters in ur control Panel.
In Users/Passwords , remove all users and keep the setting as all users use the same Start menu...
Then when u restart windows will ask u a User name and will also display a tip saying if u do not enter a password- u'll be prompted just once !
So just enter a Username and do not enter a password !
Thats it - Win98 won't ask u a password again !
